DIN

DIN is a non-profit organization recognized as a German National Standards body representing Germany in European and international standardization activities. DIN supports R&D projects with the concept of R&D Phase Standardization, which covers activities such as early identification of standardization potentials and initiation of standardization processes. Because of this the sustainable transfer of knowledge and technology will be enhanced and accelerated in innovative fields.

DIN provides advice and support concerning information about standardization. A standards research will be conducted by DIN to provide an overview about relevant standards and on-going standardization activities in relation to the fields of research. Furthermore standardization activities are planned with the aim to initiate a standardization process in order to transfer project results into standardization.
